We put this Business Policy in place to help give new and returning customers further insight, transparency, and confidence into what to expect from considering an item for purchase until the exciting moment you are holding the item in your hands! This Business Policy (aka, Terms of Service) also includes what we feel are reasonable and balanced protections that allow GC Designs, our family-owned and operated small business, to continue to provide the products and services you love in confidence. If there is a term or condition you disagree with then please do not proceed with the purchase.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

GC Designs reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. Any harassing, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior will be reported depending on its nature, by law enforcement.

ITEM INSPECTION

When GC Designs first reviews an item we give it a hands-on inspection, looking it over well, and seeing if there is any damage, unpleasant odors, etc. If an item has excessive damage, we simply do not sell the item in our shop.

MEASUREMENTS

All measurements and weights are approximated. Please contact GC Designs before purchase if more exact measurements are needed.

PHOTOGRAPHY / VIDEOGRAPHY- LISTINGS 

Please let us know if you need more pictures prior to purchase to help you make your decision. GC Designs strives to present as realistic of a depiction of each item as possible, while also striving to represent each item’s true beauty. There are factors we simply cannot control however, such as variations in the buyer’s computer/phone brightness, contrast, screen size, saturation, lighting where the item will be displayed, etc. 

Often photography props are included in the pictures to help bring items to life. Unless explicitly stated in the listing, photography props are not included in the listing/purchase price, and refunds will not be issued if a buyer assumes that the photo props were included (if in doubt, please ask!).

CUSTOM ORDERS / PERSONALIZATION

GC Designs makes every effort to accommodate all kinds of products and requests. Still, ultimately some may not end up being a good fit based on various factors, such as the available landscape, our available studio layout/equipment, our expertise, etc. GC Designs reserves the right to cancel any custom order that we deem to be not a good fit for our business, values, and brand. GC Designs will cancel any order. We reserve the right to cancel any orders with personalization that may be deemed to be unreasonably insensitive, offensive, or of a discriminatory nature. GC Designs will not support any products that violate other company’s copyrights.

STORAGE

GC Designs carefully handles and stores items in a fully enclosed, smoke-free building as they await their new owner.

If an item is needed faster than the item’s stated shipping duration estimate, please reach out to GC Designs before purchase and we’ll see if we can make it happen (additional expedited shipping charges may apply).

SHIPPING- RESPONSIBLITIES 

At purchase, the Buyer is responsible for providing the correct shipping address, any reasonable special shipping/delivery requirements, and ensuring the delivery location is secure from theft. If there is not a secure delivery location at your provided address, then we recommend having the package delivered to a PO Box, having the package delivered to a friend/family member’s address that is more secure, or arranging with GC Designs prior to shipment to require a signature upon delivery (this signature will require an additional transactional charge, and must be coordinated prior to checkout). Any address changes after shipment may result in a delayed delivery date and in extra shipping charges, which the customer will be responsible for paying.

GC Designs is responsible for labeling the package with the Buyer’s provided address, relaying any special shipping/delivery requirements to the selected Shipping Carrier, securely packaging the item, and selecting a Shipping Carrier that will meet the processing/shipping requirements agreed to at the time of purchase.

The Shipping Carrier is responsible for delivering the package to the specified address on time, following any special shipping/delivery requirements. The Shipping Carrier must handle the package with care.

GC Designs is not responsible for the Buyer or the Shipping Carrier’s above responsibilities.

PROCEEDING WITH PURCHASE 

Proceeding with the purchase represents your acknowledgment and agreement with all terms and conditions stated within GC Designs’s shop..

Please only place an order with GC Designs if you are in complete agreement with all the terms and conditions. All orders accepted by GC Designs are subject to these terms and conditions.

CANCELLATIONS 

We accept cancellations if notified within two hours of purchase as to not impact GC Designs’s shipping process (ex: buying shipping labels, labor time spent packing.)

PACKAGING YOUR ITEM

GC Designs will pack your special item(s) with the utmost experience and care! Some of the materials used in packing your item for shipment may be obtained secondhand and reused. Examples of second-hand packing materials used may include boxes, packing paper, newspaper, gift wrapping materials, bubble wrap, packing foam, etc.

SHIPPING- DOMESTIC

Items usually ship USPS Priority Mail, First Class, Ground, or Media Mail; whichever costs less to help keep all listed item prices as low as possible for customers. Occasionally for large/heavy items UPS will be used.

SHIPPING- PROCESSING TIME

GC Designs strives to ship all items within their stated shipping window, although on extremely rare occasions GC Designs reserves the right to apply an extension for unforeseen circumstances (ex: sickness, extended power outage, acts of God, etc). It’s also really important to note that third-party shipping companies provide shipping time “estimates” rather than “guarantees”, so we are not able to guarantee delivery dates. We are not responsible for any delays by the shipping company or by customs.

SHIPPING- EXPEDITING

GC Designs attempts to accommodate reasonable expedited requests. If an expedited option is not already available at checkout, please message GC Designs before purchase so we can work to get you an answer asap. Extra charges may apply, including increased shipping costs, as well as an expedited fee that GC Designs will determine at the time of the request.

SHIPPING- INSURANCE 

The majority (95%+) of items purchased are shipped insured. If an item is low dollar and at low risk of damage, then GC Designs may choose not to insure the item.

SHIPPING- DAMAGES

Damage from shipping is a very rare occurrence for GC Designs If an item arrives damaged, please contact GC Designs within one week of arrival for assistance navigating the shipping carrier’s refund process. Pictures of the item’s damage as well as pictures of the damaged packaging will be required. GC Designs is not responsible for damages unless the shipping company determines that the box was inadequately packaged. GC Designs is not responsible for item damage incurred from customer unpacking (ex: razor knife scratching an item).

SHIPPING- THEFT

If the package cannot be found, the first course of action should be to check the Shipping Carrier’s tracking information notes to see when & where the Shipping Carrier left the package (sometimes they take pictures), check with others in your residence, check with neighbors, and check any nearby security cameras.

In the unfortunate situation that the package was truly stolen, we recommend contacting local law enforcement. 

If the Shipping Carrier’s tracking information shows your package was successfully delivered to the provided address, then even though we empathize deeply, we must make it clear that GC Designs has fulfilled our end of the contract and is not obligated to issue a partial/full refund, replace the item, provide store credit, or offer special item discounts with future transactions.

RETURNS / EXCHANGES 

All sales are final. GC Designs strives to represent all items accurately and thoroughly. Returns and exchanges are not accepted beyond our stated cancellation window, but please contact us if you have problems with your order. Refunds are not accepted unless an item has been grossly misrepresented. Refunds are not accepted beyond our stated cancellation window if a customer does not read our Policies, the item description, or view the item’s images before purchase. The buyer has one calendar week after receiving an item to contact GC Designs with any issues.

If GC Designs authorizes a return, GC Designs reserves the right to potentially charge a handling/restocking fee, and have the customer pay for the return shipping cost. Please take care when packaging your return; any damage to the item during the returned shipment may be deducted from the refund total at GC Designs’s sole discretion. Any unauthorized returns sent to GC Designs will be marked return to sender if received, and a refund will not be provided.

LIABILITY LIMITS 

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither GC Designs, nor our employees/managers (if applicable) owners, or suppliers shall be liable to you for any lost profits or revenues, or any consequential, incidental, indirect, special, or punitive damage arising out of or in connection with the product(s) or these terms. In no event shall GC Designs’s aggregate liability for any damages exceed the product(s) price. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. All GC Designs’s items are sold “as-is”, therefore it is the sole responsibility of the buyer to ensure an item is safe for use in the buyer’s desired application, involving the correct experts before purchase and implementation.

REVIEWS

We love seeing items photographed in their final homes! We highly encourage you to attach photographs to your review so everyone can join with you in your excitement! If an item does not meet your expectations upon receipt, we ask that you please first reach out to us before leaving a review so we have an opportunity to discuss and see if there is a way to make it right.
